Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026

How cancelling and refunds work for BrainVault plans and AI credits.

Cancelling

You can cancel a paid plan at any time in Billing, under Manage subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the month or year you've already paid for, and then it won't renew. After that the workspace moves to the free Starter plan and keeps its data.

Refunds

We don't refund the unused part of a month or year when you cancel or change plan, except where the law gives you a right to one, as set out below.

If you were charged by mistake (for example charged twice, or charged after cancelling), we will refund the incorrect amount in full.

Your rights under South African law

These rights apply in addition to the rules above, where the law gives them to you:

Cooling-off (ECTA section 44): if you are an individual consumer buying online, you may cancel your first purchase of a plan within 7 days without giving a reason, and we will refund what you paid within 30 days.

Yearly plans (Consumer Protection Act section 14): if that section applies to you (it covers individuals, not companies), you may cancel a yearly plan early by giving 20 business days' notice. We will refund the unused part of the year, less a reasonable cancellation charge as the Act allows.

Nothing in this policy takes away any other right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

AI credits

The AI credits included in a plan are a monthly allowance; unused allowance doesn't carry over or get refunded.

Bought credit top-ups are used once your monthly allowance runs out. See Billing for how long top-ups remain available.

How to ask for a refund

Email support@thegrowthsystem.co.za with your workspace name and the payment date. We will reply within 5 business days, and approved refunds are paid back to the card you used within 30 days.
